Thank You Card

Heey! Here am I again, showing you an other card. It's another thank you card, so here it is!

Materials:
- Paper for the card.
- Color paper.
- White paper.
- Foam.
- Sequins.
- Glitter.
- Adhesive.
- Mounting tape.
- A black pen and a red pen.

Instructions:
1) Cut many flowers in different colors (in paper). Put them all together over the white paper. Paste a sequin in the center of each flower.
2) Cut the white paper, leaving a border around the flowers and the paste it to the card.
3) Draw and cut the letters in foam (the word "Thankyou").
4) Put some adhesive in the top of the letters and then fill them with glitter. Paste the letters in the card.
5) Draw 2 flowers with the red pen. When drawing them, fold the paper and when you cut them you'll have two double flowers.
7) Cur two rectangles in color paper, one bigger than the other. Paste them together and write in them "For Everything" with the black pen.
8) Paste the two double flowers under the rectangles, and paste the rectangles with mounting tape. Card finished!

18 B-Day Card!

Hello :D! Recently was a friend's b-day, and I decided to make her a card. I got inspired from the card of HEIMLAGA in flickr. I think it turned out really well, so here I leave it to you, so that you can make it too! Enjoy!

Materials:
- A color paper (for the card).
- 2 patterned paper.
- White paper.
- Corrugated cardboard.
- Thread and needle.
- Sequins.
- Glitter.
- Black paint.
- Adhesive.
- Green lace.
- Red foam.

Instructions:
1)
Fold the color paper in two. Draw a cupcake (be sure that the drawing begins where the card is folded) and then cut the card.
2) Draw in the patterned papers the top of the cupcake (the cream). I did this a little smaller than the card it self, so that a paper border was left from the card. Do one smaller than the other.
3) Draw in the corrugated cardboard the bottom of the cupcake (the "paper") and then cut it.
4) Pass a brush with black paint softly into the corrugated cardboard, so as to give it a darker look. When dry, add some adhesive to it and then the glitter.
5) Take the "cream" you did with the patterned paper and make some perforations throughout the border. Then pass the thread doing backstitches. Then paste it to the card.
6) In white paper cut the b-day number (18 in this case). Then add sequins as shown in the picture. Paste the number to the card.
7) Make two foam strawberryi. To make the seeds I used yellow thread.
8) Use the green ribbon to make the strawberry leafs by pasting it in the back. Paste the strawberry in the card.
9) Finally write in white paper "Congratulations", cut it and paste it as shown in the picture. Hope you've liked it :D!

All the steps.

Here you have a clear example of where not to work! Remember: space is important!

New "Thank You" Cards!

I made three new "Thank You!" cards. I made them the same way that I did the card I showed you in this post. Aren't they beautiful :D? And they are all on sale! For $2.50 (dollars).

Thank You Card!

Hi again :)! Some days ago my boyfriend's little brothers gave me a card making set that they didn't use anymore. They are so cute :D! The set had four cards and around four patterned papers. Using those materials and some others that I had I made a really cool "Thank You" card! At least that's what I think :P

This card is on sale!
Here I will explain you how to make it :).

Materials:
- A card.
- Colored paper.
- Patterned paper.
- Ribbon.
- A button.
- A metallic marker.
- Glitter.
- Adhesive.
- Mounting tape.
- Stamps (if you do not have stamps as me you can use digital stamps and then print them; they look as nice as the other stamps!).
For the "Thank you" letters: you can use stamps. If you do not have you can simply right directly into the paper but if you don't like your handwriting you can type that phrase on word in a font you like and then print it in onionskin paper.

Instrucrions:
1) Cut a big rectangle or square in color paper; then paste it to the card.
2) Cut another square but smaller; then paste it to the bigger square.
3) Cut a thick patterned paper strip and paste it as shown in the picture.
4) Stamp, wright or paste (the printed onionskin) "Thank You" in the smaller square.
5) Stamp or print (digital stamps) two flowers and a butterfly or other designs if you prefer. Cut them and paste them with mounting tape in the card.
6) Make a "glue path" and cover it with glitter; just follow the picture.
7) Make dots with the marker to decorate. You've finished your card :D!

Fixing the "Get Well" Card

Hellooooo! As I had told you on the get well post I didn't like to much how did I wrote "Get Well" (Mejórate). I don't have stamps and I really liked my idea of writing it in onionskin paper so as to be able to make mistakes, I just didn't like my handwriting :P. That's why I decided to carefully remove the onionskin paper that said "Mejórate" (Get Well) and to remake it. I also added other things to the card, and this is how it turned out:

As I told you, I gently removed the onionskin paper that said "Mejórate". The bad thing was that when I wrote that paper I forgot to write the accent and the exclamation mark and then I wrote them directly to the patterned paper which was a big mistake :B!!! Because when I removed the onionskin paper the accent and the exclamation mark stayed in the paper, so I had to cut a rectangle in a green color paper to cover that mistake, because if not it would be seen through the new onionskin paper and it would look horrible.

I removed the phrase because I didn't liked how I had written it (because of my handwriting). So I figured out to write the new phrase in Word in a font I liked and then print it on onionskin paper. It turned out really well!! The truth is that I didn't like "Get Well" because I thought it was too impersonal so I decided to write "I'm glad everything turned out well!". I printed it and cut it; then I pasted it on top of the green rectangle and it looks fantastic :D!

I also did an extra flower and I pasted it next to the other one. I like it much better than the card before! What do you think? :)

Another way to do the fun box

Some time ago I wrote a post in which I explained how to make a fun box (boxes covered with patterned paper). After making my first box I discovered I could make them in a different way, based in Chinese takeout boxes. I liked it better than the first one :).

The first box I made didn't had those triangles in the outside. If you also like this version better you can make it with the next steps :).

Templates boxes have a part that is supposed to be fold into the inside of the box, and that part comes many times in the shape of a triangle. Well, in this case instead of folding the triangle to the inside of the box what I did was to cut it so as to leave the triangles in the outside of the box and then attach them together as shown in the picture (in this case they were four triangles because the box is like a cube).

Instructions:
1)
Cut the triangles (the ones that are supposed to be fold). Don't cut them through the middle (where they are supposed to be fold). To cut them do the following: if your box is going to be a cube like mine chose two squares that will be facing each other when the box is finished. Then (only in those two squares) separate the triangles from the square by cutting it in the edge (be careful, you should do this only in the two squares you chose before!).
2) Once you cut the triangles cover the box with patterned paper and then attach the triangles with a clasp and then attach them to the side of the box they are facing. Just follow the picture :)!

The folding triangle without cutting it; when it is cut (1) and then everything attached (2).

It also looks great in the inside of the box. When doing the box in this way the folded triangles will not be in the inside, and I like it this way much better (I find it horrible with the folds inside) :P.

This is how it looks in the inside, with out folds!

Before and after.

If the post is too complicated please let me know so as to make it as clear as possible :)!

Get Well Card!

Some weeks ago one of my aunts had to go on a surgery and I decided to make a "Get well" card for her. I think it turned out really well so I decided (again) to share it with you :)!

What I didn't liked about it is how did the "Mejórate" (Get well) turned out :B. I don't have stamps so I had to write with a marker. But anyway, I will explain you how to make it.

What you will need:
-Paper (for the card).
-Color papers.
-Patterned paper (try to make it match with the other papers).
-Ribbon.
- Raffia.
-Buttons.
-Adhesive.
If you do not have stamps: If you don't have stamps to write "Get Well" you can write directly into the paper, but what I did was to use onionskin paper and a marker and it looked really good!

Instructions:
1) Fold the card paper in three (take a look at the picture below).
2) Cut 2 patterned paper rectangles; a bigger one (that will go in the right side of the card, when looking at the front of it) and a thiner one (but with the same height that the other one) that will go in the left side.
3) Make a ribbon bow and attach it to the big rectangle. Then paste the 2 rectangles in the card.
4) Cut 3 ovals, one in patterned paper and the two others with color papers that match. Paste them as it is shown in the picture. Then paste them in the right side of the card (when looking at the front of it).
5) Make two holes in the ovals that also pass through the left side of the card, so as to be able to close it with raffia.
6) Pass the raffia through the holes of the left side of the card and then through the ovals. Close the card making a ribbon bow with the raffia.
7) Cut two flowers, a bigger one with in color paper and a smallest one in patterned paper. Paste the smallest one in the bigger one and then with a scissor or pen coil the petals.
8) Paste a big button in the center of the flower, and paste two small ones as shown in the picture.
9) If you don't have stamps write in onionskin paper something like "Get Well" with a marker (if you have stamps use them!). Then cut the paper and paste it as it is shown in the picture. Also, you can write directly into the card.
Done ;)!
