More Materials!

Well when I was making my scrapbook I started looking for materials everywhere I could; but in here there is only one scrapbook store, that is far and expensive (to me at least), and I couldn't find any patterned paper! And I needed many of them. But the thing is I finally found some! You just have to know where to search :)!

I found blocks with patterned paper, many wrapping papers (that actually where really nice!), holographic paper and scissors that cut funny borders!

Successfull surprise!

Well, as you can see, June 25th passed some days ago :). It was my anniversary (first year, yeay!!) and my boyfriend really liked the scrapbook I gave him! I know I haven't upload any image of it yet (I'm sorry!!!), but I promise I will! He has it now, but I must finish some little details, and so when he hands it back to me I will take some pictures so that you can see it!

At least I can describe it to you :). Well, it's a 20 pages scrapbook (two-side pages, so they are like 40 in total!), and each page is really unique, they are all different from one to another. I used a ring binder, and the idea was to cover it with something so that I would like nicer, but as I had to make so many pages I didn't have enough time for that :(.

I'm really exited about it, I really want to show it to you!!! I will as soon as possible!

I have some images of somethings of the scrapbook that I will show you in the next post (I haven't been writing since a lot time because I've been like so busy! You can't imagine how stressful can be a 17 year old girl's life!).

About 'I Wanna Scrapbook!'

Hello everyone! I'm Florencia Atria, a 17 year old girl from Santiago, Chile (which is in South America). Please, forgive me if I make too many mistakes in my writing. As I'm from Chile, my first language is Spanish. I've tried to write sooner in my blog, but it seems like I have no time! I'm in senior year, and I've many test and essays to do; actually I have a biology test tomorrow, but I have postponed this for so long that I said "OK let's write a little and then study". Also, this is my first blog ever!!! I mean, I have another one about 'Torres del Paine', but it was a project for English class.

This is Santiago, were I live :)

So, now that you know a little more about me, why 'I Wanna Scrapbook!'? Scrapbook is not too known in here. Actually, there are only like one or two stores for scrapbookers in the whole city. Then, how did I hear about it? The thing is that in like a week, it's me and my boyfriend's first anniversary year! I wanted to do a really cool present for him, and I thought about a photo album, but not just any photo album, I wanted one made by my self.

I started looking for tutorials about how to make a photo album, and with this I bumped into scrapbooking. I thought it was so fun! That was around two weeks ago. Now, is really difficult to do a scrapbook here, because as Santiago has only two scrapbook stores or so, materials are really expensive! For example, I have a friend who has a Sizzix Big Shot Machine. She bought it for $120.000 (Chilean pesos), which is equivalent to 240 dollars, approximately. That's too much! (Don't you agree?).

She said I could use it, and so I went with some one-color papers (those were the only ones I could find for a cheap price!) to her house and cut as many things as I could (she has around 7 different die cuts). Now, I don't have many materials, but I will try to do as many different pages as I can, and as I'm learning, I will show you what I've learned, what to avoid and many different ideas! (That's what I'm hoping for). My anniversary is in June 25th, that's the deadline for my scrapbook!
